U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia, Asia

A stunning composition of indigenous materials and American architecture, CMSS designed the embassy to balance a refined appearance with safety, functionality and environmental friendliness.

The compound overlooks scenic Lake Yerevan and has a commanding vista of Mount Ararat. Stair-stepped atop the hilly site, the embassy features a 2-story entry structure, 3-story ceremonial atrium and 4-story office building. The two end segments are wrapped in a light, patterned stone while the atrium displays a monochromatic darker stone.

Multiple government-sanctioned security measures were instituted to protect the complex from potential physical, biological and technological assaults. Additionally, the embassy is poised to receive LEED™-certification for the incorporation of sustainable design elements.
