Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater

What was once a 96-acre soybean field in Virginia Beach, VA is now the site of a successful, 20,000-seat world-class amphitheater. Since its opening in 1996, the site has hosted a variety of national performers and numerous sell-out shows, quickly becoming the premier large concert venue in the region.

The theater accommodates 7,500 people under a covered pavilion and an additional 12,500 concertgoers in a sloped “festival lawn” area rising above the seats. Two giant video screens in the reserved section bring the action even closer, while three more screens fronting the lawn allow every view to be a great one. In order to provide optimal sight lines, the amphitheater strategically placed columns and trusses on the outskirts of the seated area.

The entire site is adorned with more than 12,000 plants and features six, fountain-containing lakes.
