When Corporate Office Properties Trust embarked on the planning and design of their new corporate headquarters, the company’s leadership sought to reflect their corporate culture of “caring, trust, and respect for all” in every design decision.

CMSS was architect of record and coordinated the design efforts of the client’s in-house interior designers to create the permit and construction documents for this high-end 52,000 SF corporate interiors project. The team achieved a built environment that is a true manifestation of COPT’s corporate culture. Multiple open work areas, glass enclosed conference rooms, specialty areas for defined tasks, and harmonious finishes and textures are all features that support their mission. The project is constructed on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a suburban office building and provides light filled work areas conducive to the collaborative and individual efforts of everyone in the organization.

With the achievement of LEED® Silver certification, the new corporate headquarters has taken its place among the “top 50 places to work” in the US.
