Dominion Enterprises Corporate Headquarters is a new, $58 million, 20-story office tower in the heart of historic downtown Norfolk. At 500,000 SF, it easily houses the company’s newly consolidated workforce. While most of the building is dedicated solely to office space, the first floor houses Heritage Bank’s retail space, and there are several levels of integrated parking.
CMSS created a sleek, urban facility to appeal to young professionals and draw them to Norfolk. The tower itself mingles traditional and modern design elements. To blend it with the existing historic buildings, the designers used white pre-cast concrete for the majority of the structure.
Above all, the office building is designed to be flexible, and the 20th-floor training facility is ever-present proof. Situated in the building’s penthouse, usually reserved for executives, the high-tech training and conference center is designed to show the company’s contemporary and dynamic view toward progress.
