Two City Center

Two City Center’s location makes it one of the most desirable office buildings in Newport News. The client wanted a dynamic building to fit within City Center’s vibrant atmosphere and draw some of the best employers in the region.

CMSS designed the five-story 80,000 SF brick office building to feature retail/commercial space on the first floor and provide a transitional link from the retail district to the adjacent hotel and conference center. Decorative elements (pre-cast bands, medallions, awnings, etc.) reinforce the multi-layered presence of the building. Expansive windows and a glass-enclosed octagonal pavilion provide additional visual interest to the passing pedestrian, and hint at the underlying retail themes found along the Mariners Row Corridor.

With a stately presence, a prominent location with views of the retail district and the fountain lake, and a high-end interior, Two City Center has become a highly sought after address.
